Remote Attribute Access: CHAIN

Chains relate computations in left-to-right depth-first order within certain subtrees.

 

Typical Error Situation

  • Breaking a chain: 
         X.mychain = onenewValue(newval);
    instead of 
         X.mychain = addoneValue(X.mychain, newval);

  • In conjunction with symbol computations: inherit chain accesses to symbols that don't have a CHAINSTART above them.
